Hey! I'm Gaylia.
Registered Dietitian! Mom! & Food Lover!
I am here to help women and men who struggle with chronic illness that want to live a healthy and happy lifestyle by embracing their shape and learn how to nourish their body in the best possible way.
Chronic illness
Nobody can plan for or understand what having a chronic illness does to our bodies and mind over time. What we put into our bodies effects long and short term health. Let me help you understand your body with the mindset that chronic illness like diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, GI disorders etc. does not define you as a person and to learn food is for healing.
Fad diets don't work long term
As someone who has struggled with being overweight my whole life I have heard it all! "Keto is the way to go", "just stop eating sugar". Fad diets are a multibillion dollar making business for people. They always come up with products to sell you, telling you its better to swallow a capsule of veggies instead of just eating actual food. Don't be fooled and buy into them selling you the dream of being skinny. Embrace your shape, make small changes daily and over time goals will be won!
What is comfortable for you
My goal is to help give you the tools and encourage you through this extremely hard and confusing process. You can't turn on the TV, go on social media or visit a friend without getting mixed match dieting information. As a registered Dietitian I will only provide science based nutrition facts and help you make realistic goals for yourself. Maybe its weight loss, weight gain, or slowing a disease process. By joining me we will work as a team to embrace food and your shape!
Ask me about how you can get specialized meal plans based on your nutritional needs and goals!
